Enjoy your time at the Mekong delta in 2 days. Join some activities at the countryside with the local people. On the first day, you will explore the Ben Tre province where you can see so many coconut tree. And the trip also includes the largest floating market in the Mekong is Cai Rang.

Itinerary

Day1:

We depart from your hotel at 8am and drive about 80km to get to Ben Tre province – the kingdom of the coconut tree in Vietnam. It takes about 2 hours to the local boat station. We will enjoy 30 minutes on the river and stop at the brick kiln to see how they make brick.

Then we will get back to the boat and enjoy some coconut while moving to the small canal with a coconut tree both sides. It will be a very good time for you to take some beautiful pictures before we visit the coconut candy workshop. In this place, the guide will explain for you about coconut tree, how to plan and how to make candy. We also try some tropical fruit here.

Back to the boat for a short distance and we walk to another local house to see the way they make sleeping mat. Then we will take a bicycle and ride to the restaurant for lunch. We will enjoy a popular fish in the Mekong. That is called Elephant ear fish and more popular food in the Mekong delta. After lunch, we will get on the sampan and paddle back to the boat, you will enjoy the quite canal and look at houses on stilt. Then we back to the car and drive for 2.5 hours to Can Tho city – the biggest city in the Mekong delta.

Check in the hotel, you are free to explore the city, having some food and coffee along the river.

Stay overnight at Can Tho.

Day 2:

We start around 7:30am by boat to visit the Cai Rang floating market – the biggest floating market left in the Mekong delta. It takes 30 minutes to get there by boat and you can watch the local activities in the morning on the river.

Cai Rang floating market is a natural one and very colorful and busy. You will see people trading good, passing products. Then we will stop at one pineapple boat to let you try fresh pineapple and take some fantastic photos. This is a good opportunity for you too to understand how people live on the boat.

After that, we also visit another local fish market to see how busy it is in the morning.

Last stop in Can Tho is a fruit garden where you can have a little rest, walking around and trying some tropical fruit.

You will go back to the Can Tho city for lunch at the local restaurant.

Tour finish here and we will drive back to Saigon about 3.5 hours.
